Gerald is currently the Managing Partner of Cadwyn Capital LLP and Portfolio Manager of the Cadwyn Global Macro Fund. Prior to this, Gerald was Chief Investment Officer at Morley Fund Management, global strategist at Norwich Union Investment Management, Director at the Institute for Public Policy Research, Chief Economist and Deputy Head of Research at Lehman Brothers Europe, International Economist at Credit Suisse First Boston, Head of General Economics Division within the OECD, Paris; and Visiting Fellow of the Economic Policy Group at Brookings Institution, Washington DC.

Gerald is Non-Executive Director at Merrill Lynch Greater Europe Investment Trust, Member of Economic Research Advisory Panel to the Welsh Assembly Government and a Board Member at the Institute of Welsh Affairs. He has been an Associate Editor at the Oxford Review of Economic Policy, Consultant to New Zealand Government on foreign liability management and Consultant to the Japanese Government on Economic Modelling. Gerald has also held various positions in academia including fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, visiting professor in economics at the University of Strathclyde, and affiliated professor at the Centre of Economic Forecasting at the London Business School. He is currently Visiting Professor at the Business School of Cardiff University.
